Our mission
Business Travel Authority is an independent editorial publication covering the airlines, hotels, lounges, airports, and destinations that matter to people who travel for work. We publish news, in-depth analysis, and methodical reviews — written by a small team of reporters with deep operational knowledge of the premium travel industry.
The Authority was founded on a simple principle: that the people making travel decisions for themselves and their organizations deserve coverage written by reporters who actually fly the products. Every cabin review on this site has been flown by the named author. Every hotel review has been a paid stay. Every lounge review has been a real visit, on a real itinerary.
Editorial standards
We accept no payment, free flights, free hotel stays, or media rates in exchange for editorial coverage. Where we have used a press trip — rare, and only for events such as airport opening tours where independent access is not possible — we disclose that prominently within the article.
Our review methodology is published and consistent across products. Cabin reviews assess seat, soft product (bedding, amenity kit, food, beverage, service), in-flight entertainment, and overall experience on standardized rubrics. Hotel reviews assess room product, food and beverage, service, facilities, and value. Lounge reviews assess space, food and beverage, work facilities, and shower and rest facilities.
Advertising and partnerships
The Authority is supported by a combination of subscription revenue and clearly labeled display advertising. We accept no native advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate commerce. Display advertising is sold by an independent advertising team that has no editorial influence and operates under a written firewall policy.

Business Travel Authority is published by a small editorial team based in New York, London, and Singapore.
